Choose from our departure locations and itineraries

As to offer you the maximum of flexibility to discover by sail the Ionion islands we offer different departure locations and itinearies.

Our first choice - Round trip from Preveza

Advantages

Disadvantage

  • Access to all the south islands
  • Mostly protected sailing areas
  • Good wind conditions in high season
  • Access takes more time

Sailing south from Preveza provides quick access to the southern Ionian Islands. During a one-week sailing holiday, you can explore a remarkable variety of beautiful islands such as Meganisi, Kefalonia, Ithaka, Kalamos, Kastos, as well as many smaller uninhabited islands. The area offers numerous anchoring options and charming traditional villages to discover.
Although the waters can be busy, as is common throughout the region (the price to pay for one of the best sailing areas in the Mediterranean), the wide range of routes and destinations allows charter and private yachts to spread out, making it easier to find quieter, less crowded spots.

One way - Preveza to Kephalonia

Advantages

Disadvantage

  • Access to all the south islands
  • Mostly protected sailing areas
  • Good wind conditions
  • International airport in Kefalonia for your return
  • Access takes more time
  • Higher cost due to a one-way

A one-way sail from Preveza to Kefalonia offers the same highlights as a round trip from Preveza, with the added advantage that there is no need to sail back, allowing you to spend more time in each location. It also gives you the opportunity to explore the southern part of Kefalonia, which is not included on a return itinerary from Preveza.

Round trip from Corfu, best during aft season

Advantages

Disadvantages

  • Easy access by plane and ferry
  • Historical city
  • Beautiful island
  • Very crowded in high and mid-season
  • Limited itinerary and places to visit.
  • Lack of wind in high season

Corfu and its surroundings are beautiful and well worth a visit. Unfortunately, this popularity comes at a cost: during high and mid-season, the island and its surrounding waters are extremely crowded. With up to three cruise ships arriving daily and constant air traffic, getting around on land can be challenging, and conditions on the water are no better. For this reason, we prefer sailing around Corfu during the low season, although the choice is entirely yours.

One way Corfu to Preveza
Best during mid or aft season

Advantages

Disadvantages

  • Easy access by plane and ferry
  • More time to visit on a one way
  • Easy sailing with the wind
  • Busy in high and mid-season
  • Lack of wind in high sea

The sailing route from Corfu to Preveza is particularly enjoyable, as it usually allows for sailing with the wind. Along the way, we will visit the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos, as well as mainland destinations such as Parga and Sivota. This one-way itinerary offers more time for exploration, as there is no need to sail back. Unfortunately, an additional fee might apply, as the yacht might to return to Corfu.
