History and timeline of Sail and Discover
With the support and collaboration of my friends Yves and Claire-Lise Haldemann, Stephan launched Sail & Discover, a venture dedicated to sharing his passion for the sea and cruising. And so, the Sail & Discover adventure begins!
With carefully selected charter boats, Sail & Discover offers and Stephan manages private cruises in Croatia (Kornati Islands), Sicily (Aeolian Islands), Greece (Aegean Sea, Dodecanese, Saronic Gulf), and the West Indies (Grenadines). We’ve organized over 100 weeks of unforgettable holidays on the water, with more than 500 satisfied customers.
Stephan rencontre Constantin Christov et les deux s'associent pour acquérir un Bavaria 50 de 1999,voiier idéal pour Sail & Discover. Le navire se trouve à Préveza et Stephan tombe littéralement amoureux de cet région et zone de navigation qu'il ne connaissait pas encore et qui offre tous les atouts pour réussir une croisière à la voile. Nous décidons d'en faire notre base estivale.
The Ionian region, with its countless islands, is truly spectacular. Focusing on one area allows for a deeper connection with the region and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships. Stephan became the sole owner of Chronos and chose to make the yacht his home.
In the winter and spring of 2022-2023, Stephan assisted a couple with no prior sailing experience in mastering and optimizing their new Lagoon 450S catamaran, preparing them for a global sailing adventure. This marked the beginning of a new venture.
Stephan fell in love with Yuliia in September 2023. Although she had never been on a sailing boat before, she quickly developed a passion for the experience. Together, they decided to spend the winter in Valencia, and by October, they set off on a Mediterranean crossing, filled with new sailing adventures for her.
In April and May 2024, they sailed back to Preveza, with both crossings serving as a crash course in sailing for Yuliia. She learned quickly and now assists the captain with confidence and skill.
Yuliia also has a love for cooking and enjoys taking care of their guests.
